Calamity! I left out two whole console commands in that post yesterday. Good ones, too! ‘fw [weather id]‘ forces the specified weather type on your current location, which doesn’t do so much in Skyrim as most of the weather’s just a different shade of Norwegian. You can get a very useful collection of the game’s object, creature and weather IDs here. ‘set timescale to [value]‘, meanwhile, adjusts the speed of the game’s day/night cycle. Combine it with the fw command and you can audition every permutation of lighting and weather when finding the best shot. Take this shot, for example, where only one time of day rendered the game’s normally blocky shadows in an agreeable form. I also had to increase the size of chuckles up there by clicking on him and using ‘setscale 2‘, as he clearly wasn’t boss enough at his original size. Tools and tricks: here.

did you place that dragon on that rock? i dont remember him ever being there @_@
Don’t ever stop!
Skyrim is breathtaking…
Just how big can you make chuckles?
I’ve really been enjoying your Skyrim shots, beautiful stuff.
An amazing shot – truly wonderful.
You might also add (that you probably already know) that `set gamehour to N`, where N is a 24-hour formatted time, will allow you to specify whatever time of day you like, without the need to wait for the golden hour or whatever, accelerated though the time scale may be.
What clothing is your character wearing on this pic? Great screenshots by the way.
Looks like fur armor but i may be wrong. Paarthonax perches on a rock from time to time i think, but maybe he modded him their.
