Gaming is nothing if not a shared love of illusion. I can think of no developer who upholds their side of the bargain quite like Irrational’s Ken Levine, who bears his soul in interviews but knows how to keep the secrets that matter. I’ve seen him pull back many curtains, in code and on stage – enough to know that he lives for the reaction of his audience. He dreams, builds and protects it like a magician, then uses it to make his next trick even better. I frickin’ love this guy! Tools and tricks: antialiasing (FXAA), Post Process Injection DLL w/ pre-sharpening for texture and post-sharpening for image, high-performance ambient occlusion, 2160p rendering, no-HUD, custom FOV, noclip, timestop.

No DOWNLOAD WALLPAPER option!
Amazing shot, I have been playing Bioshock too lately and I just wish I could get my bioshock to look like this!
Do you have any links to the tools you used? Thanks
I too share this affinity for enjoying Mr. Levine’s games. I truly think he is a master of his craft and you and i are on the exact same page. Ken knows what he is doing and anyone and everyone should be chomping at the bit to provide him with every single tool he needs to deliver the stories he wants to give/deliver to the public..
Also, i truly am almost literally unable to wait for BioShock Infinite…
Also too, THANK YOU for the new BioShock art!
Another thing about Ken… Just listening to the man talk is a show… Should he be making films as well? I think so!
You might be interested to know that Levine pursued a film career in Hollywood before turning to games. He briefly mentioned it when he interviewed the guys at BioWare for one of his “Irrational Interviews” (highly recommended). He wrote screenplays but didn’t get anywhere.
