This is the first modding guide I’ve done, so you’ll have to excuse any kinks in the layout or content. It is not, like many of the great Oblivion guides out there, an attempt to give every PC owner the Oblivion that’s right for them. There’s a fair bit of alchemy involved in finding a stable mod list which meets your requirements, especially when the requirements themselves are so variable. A lot of people ask me how my image galleries are made so that’s what I’m focusing on. Rather than just print out my own mod list, though, I felt it necessary to give as much background info as possible. Most Oblivion modders forget just how far they and the game have come, how much they’ve had to learn, and how daunting it must be for newcomers to catch up. This will hopefully help.

The Usual Caveat

Dead End Thrills is a videogame photography pretty pictures site. It features screenshots, and doesn’t consider game performance when capturing them. For every one of these shots, dozens more were taken that just didn’t pass muster. Bear that in mind when putting this mod guide into practice. What you see is what you get – none of these shots is edited or Photoshopped – but you might not get it all of the time.
